Create Scene Template

Allows to create templates for EFD scenes.

A template includes the current active plots settings and the model and can be used to generate scenes in the Batch Results Processing tool (see “Batch Results Processing”).

Procedure

  1. Open the Create Scene Template  dialog:
    • On the ribbon, click Flow Simulation > Results > Load > Create Scene Template.

    • On the toolbars, click Create Scene Template on the Flow Simulation Results toolbar.

    • In the menu, select Tools > Flow Simulation > Results > Create Scene Template.

    • In the Flow Simulation analysis tree, right-click the Results item and select Create Scene Template.

    • In the Flow Simulation analysis tree, right-click the cut plot, surface plot, isosurface, flow trajectories or particle study injection item and select Create Scene Template.

  2. Type the name for the template in the Template Name field.

    To see the existing templates, expand Available Templates.

    To remove an existing template, select it in the Available Templates list, and click Delete . To remove all existing templates, select Delete All 

  3. In the Output File Name field specify a template for the names of the *.efdscene files that will be created using this scene template.The file name template can include the characters that are acceptable in file names and the following standard elements:
    • <TemplateName> is the name of this Simcenter™ FLOEFD™ Viewer software scene template.

      To add this element to the template, click Template Name .

    • <Model Name> is the name of the geometry model.

      To add this element to the template, click Model Name .

    • <ProjectName> is the name of the Flow Simulation project.

      Todd this element to the template, click Project Name .

    • <Number> is a sequential number.

      To add this element to the template, click Number .

  4. Click OK .

Results

The new template is created in the same folder where the project templates are located. The folder location can be changed in the Options dialog (see “Options”).
