Allows
you to specify a tabulated dependency of parameters on a goal value.
This option is available for the following Input Data features:
Two-Resistor Component;
Thermoelectric Cooler,
Radiation Source;
Surface Source;
Volume Source.
Procedure
- In the Dependency type list,
select F(goal) - table to
define a dependency on any goal in the project.
- In the Dependent on goal list,
select the desired goal.
- In the Table of values,
specify values in all columns.
While specifying
a tabular dependence you can import data from Microsoft Excel: define a two-column table in
a Microsoft Excel worksheet,
copy it to the Clipboard, then click any argument (left) cell in
the Table of values and
press Ctrl+V or
right-click the cell and select Paste to
paste the data into the table.
It
is also possible to export the Table
of values into a Microsoft Excel sheet: hold down Shift and
click the cells you want to export. Press Ctrl+C or
right-click the selected cell and select Copy to
copy the contents of the cells into the Clipboard, then open a Microsoft Excel document and paste
the data in a cell.
Note: Note,
that the argument values in the Table
of values must be sorted in ascending order (the smallest
values at the top, with values increasing going down the table).
- Click Chart
to
display the data plot.Tip You
can modify the dependence by dragging its tabular points in the
plot area.
- For steady-state analyses you can also use the Damping option.
This option limits
the amount which a parameter dependent on the goal changes from one
iteration to the next by averaging the parameter changes over the
damping interval. It allows to improve the convergence stability.
See “Damping”.
