Performing General Settings

General Settings dialog allows you to make changes to the project and to correct the settings made in the Wizard.

Procedure

  1. To access the General Settings  dialog:
    • On the ribbon, click Flow Simulation > Project > General Settings.

    • On the toolbars, click General Settings on the Flow Simulation Main toolbar.

    • In the menu, select Tools > Flow Simulation > General Settings.

  2. Click a link on the Navigator pane to switch to the corresponding tab of the General Settings. The following tabs can be available depending on the selected analysis type and physical features:
    1. Analysis type (analysis type and physical features);
    2. Fluids (ideal and real gases, incompressible and compressible liquids, non-Newtonian liquids and others, including the default fluid type and flow characteristics);
    3. Solids (if the Conduction option is enabled on the Analysis type tab);
    4. Wall conditions (depending on the selected analyses type if the Fluid Flow and/or Conduction option is enabled on the Analysis Type tab) that allows to specify the conditions applied to all model walls by default;
    5. Initial Conditions (or Initial and ambient conditions if the External analyses type is selected on the Analysis type tab) that allows to specify an initial flow and solid state and ambient conditions (for External analysis).
