    • On the ribbon, click Flow Simulation > Results > Screen Capture > Save Image.

    • On the toolbars, click Save Image on the Flow Simulation Results toolbar.

    • In the menu, select Tools > Flow Simulation > Results > Screen Capture > Save Image.

    • In the Flow Simulation analysis tree, right-click the Results item and select Save Image.

The Save Image pane appears at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Click Save Setting  to specify the file type and name, and overwrite mode:
    • In the File Name input field, type the file name of the image.

      Tip

You can also type the full path and file name of the image in the input field in the Save Image pane.

    • In the Save as type list, select the desired file format among the following:

      Table 1. File formats.

      Type

      Description

       JPEG

Requires to specify the image quality which ranges from Best compression (lowest image quality) to Best quality (largest file size).

       BMP

Does not require any format-specific settings.

       PNG

Does not require any format-specific settings.

       GIF

Does not require any format-specific settings.

       VRML

Does not require any format-specific settings.

       eDrawings

Does not require any format-specific settings.

      Tip

In the Save Image pane use the drop-down list on the left side of the file name input field to quickly select the desired file format.

    • If the File format has been set to BMP, JPEG, PNG, or GIF, select the desired Resolution. The possible values are: No resize, 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024, 1600x1200, and Custom with user-specified Width and Height in pixels.

    • If the File format has been set to BMP, JPEG, PNG, or GIF, select the desired Extend size for color bar. When checked (by default), the image width is increased by the width of the Color bar.

    • If the File format has been set to BMP, JPEG, PNG, or GIF, select the desired Zoom mode:

      • To zoom to the plot area specified under Crop region, select Zoom to Plots.

      • To zoom to the entire model geometry, select Zoom to Model.

      • To zoom to the entire Computational Domain, select Zoom to Computational domain.

      • To zoom to the graphics area of the active project, select Active View.

    • In the If file exists list, select the desired behavior in case if a file with similar name already exists:

Results

If you encounter any difficulties saving images in Flow Simulation, please make sure that an appropriate driver provided by the graphic adapter or chipset manufacturer is installed.

Please also check that the Use software OpenGL option is not selected under Performance at the System Options tab of the Tools > Options dialog box. If you cannot clear the Use software OpenGL check box, probably an incompatible graphic adapter or driver is installed.

1 This option is available for transient problems only.
