.Number of Cells Per X
/ Size of Cells Per X
, Number of Cells Per Y
/ Size of Cells Per Y
, Number of Cells Per Z
/ Size of Cells Per Z
. Depending on the selected mode, specify the numbers
(or sizes) of basic mesh cells in X-, Y-, and Z-directions of the
Global Coordinate System.
As a result, the basic mesh will be constructed by dividing the Computational Domain into slices by basic mesh planes, which are orthogonal to the Global Coordinate System’s axes. By default, the basic mesh planes will be arranged as nearly uniform in the Global Coordinate System’s directions.
Switch to Size/Number of Cells Per X, Y, Z
the numbers or sizes of basic mesh cells
in each coordinate direction.
Keep Aspect Ratio. When checked, this option allows to fix the ratio between the numbers of basic mesh cells in each coordinate direction.
Show. Allows you to see the obtained basic mesh immediately on the model.
When this option is checked, the Show Cell Size tool becomes available (see “Show Cell Size” for details).
To access the Show basic mesh box from the Ribbons, click Tools > Flow Simulation > Mesh > Show basic mesh.
Click Control Planes if you want to rearrange the basic mesh planes and to stretch or contract the basic mesh cells locally. The Control Planes pane appears at the bottom of the screen (see “Control Planes” for details).
See “Basic Mesh” for details.
You can specify the refinement of the combination of fluid cells, and/or solid cells, and/or solid-fluid boundary cells (see “Refine Cells by Type” for details).
If the model includes narrow channels, which are important from the project viewpoint, it is expedient to additionally split the initial mesh in narrow channels in order to calculate flows in the channels more accurately (see “Channels Resolution” for details).
To specify the advanced refinement settings, select the Advanced Refinement check box and then specify the required parameters (see “Resolve the Interface Between Substances” for details).
Maximum Height of Slots to Close
. Allows you to specify the Maximum Height of Slots to Close value
to fill slots which height is less than the specified value with
the Solid closest to the slot.
Note, that the specified refinement settings do not influence the constructed mesh. These settings allows to visualize the refined mesh only.
