Allows you to specify
a tabulated dependency of parameters on Cartesian coordinates (x, y, z)
and time t (only
for Time-dependent analyses).
This option is available for the following entries:
Velocity Normal to Face, Velocity in X/Y/Z Direction, Substance Concentrations, Temperature, Wall Temperature, External Fluid Temperature,
and Heat Transfer Coefficient of
the Boundary Conditions;
Surface Heat Generation Rate and Heat Flux (Surface) of
the Surface Sources;
Volumetric Heat Generation Rate and Temperature of
the Volume Sources.
Procedure
- In the Dependency type list,
select F(x y z) - table or F(t x y z) - table.
- In the Table of values,
specify values in all columns.
Note: Note,
that the argument values in the Table
of values must be sorted in ascending order (the smallest
values at the top, with values increasing going down the table).
While specifying a tabular dependence
you can also:
Import data from Microsoft Excel.
To import data from Microsoft Excel, define a two-column
table in a Microsoft Excel worksheet,
copy it to the Clipboard, then click any argument (left) cell in
the Table of values and
press Ctrl+V or
right-click the cell and select Paste to paste
the data into the table.
It
is also possible to export the Table
of values into a Microsoft Excel sheet: hold down Shift and
click the cells you want to export. Press Ctrl+C or
right-click the selected cell and select Copy to
copy the contents of the cells into the Clipboard, then open a Microsoft Excel document and paste
the data in a cell.
Import data from *.csv or *.txt files.
The values in the file must be separated by
commas or semicolons. While importing from the file the specified
values will be interpolated (see “Inverse Distance Weighting”).
To import data from the file, click Import File and
then select the appropriate file. By default, only the first 100
points are shown in the list. To display all points, select Show all <N> points.

to show the defined data points in the
graphics area.
