Every time SOLIDWORKS Manage Web is started, the user is presented with the login screen.

 

Login Screen

1. Open a link using a Web browser. Contact your System Administrator for the link.

 

2. Complete all fields.

• User Name

Defined by the SOLIDWORKS Manage Administrator.

 

• Password

Defined by the SOLIDWORKS Manage Administrator. This can be reset by the user.

Note that SOLIDWORKS Manage will first try the password for the SOLIDWORKS Manage user, if it fails it will then look if there is a connected PDM system with it and try to identify this user with the PDM credentials instead.

 

• Language

Select the required interface language.

• License

Select the required license type you need to use based upon how you will interact with SOLIDWORKS Manage.

Contact your System Administrator for advice on which license type is required.

 

3. Click Login.

 

Reset Password

A user can reset their password via the Web Login screen or via the Web Interface.

 

Reset via the Web Login screen

 

1. Click Reset Password.

 

2. Enter the required Username and click Next.

 

3. An automated email will be sent from SOLIDWORKS Manage to the User, with instructions on how to rest their password.

 

Reset via the Web Interface

 

1. Click User Menu (Avatar Menu) > Change Password.

 

2. Enter the Existing Password.

 

3. Enter the New Password.

 

4. Confirm the New Password.

 

5. Click Save and Close.

 

Register

An external user can register for access, via the Web Login Interface.

 

1. Click Register.

 

2. Select the Account Type from the drop-down list.

 

3. Select the Group from the drop-down list.

 

4. Complete all Required Fields, as a minimum. Required Fields are denoted with a red asterisk .

 

3. Click Register.
