Main Grid

The Maid Grid displays the records contained within whichever object is selected. When a record is selected (not opened), a Record Specific Grid appears in the lower are of the User Interface displaying record specific information in a series of tabs. When a record property card is opened in a new browser window, the tabs are displayed on the left hand side.

 

Depending upon the web browser being used, the user may have to allow pop-ups, as these can prevent new tabs from opening.

Main Grid Tools

The Main Grid Header Row contains some additional tools to assist with the Filtering and Searching the records which are displayed.

 

These additional tools are available through the Header Row context menu.

• Group Panel

  This option opens a new section above the Header Row. Any grid column can be dragged in to this section, to sort the records displayed by the specific column.

• Hide Column

  This option removes the selected column from the grid. The column is not deleted, just hidden from view. I can be returned to the grid using the Column Chooser.

   

• Column Chooser

  This option opens a popup window. From here, any grid columns which have been removed can be returned to the grid.

   

  Select the required column from the list and drag and drop it at the required position on the grid. This must be at the break-line between two existing fields. Notice the insertion arrows.

   

  The field can be moved to another position afterward.

• Search Panel

  This option opens a new section above the Header Row. This allows searches to be made on any records, in the current grid view.

• Filter Row

  This option opens a new section below the Header Row. This allows records in the grid view to be filtered based upon a specific value entered.

   

  The filter can also include conditions from the Filter Menu. The Filter Menu is opened using the Filter icon .

   

  • Begins with
  • Contains
  • Doesn't contain
  • Ends with
  • Equals
  • Doesn't equal

• Footer

  This option opens a new section at the very bottom of the Main Grid. Under any grid column (where additional information is required), right click to open the Footer Menu.

   

  The Footer Menu provides tools to summarize the data from the grid column. Multiple column summaries can be used on the same column.

   

  • Sum

    Calculates the total value for the column. Only applies for numeric or alphanumeric value columns.

  • Min

    Displays the minimum value for the column.

  • Max

    Displays the minimum value for the column.

  • Count

    Display the number of records in the column.

  • Average

    Displays the minimum value for the column. Only applies for numeric value columns.

  • None

    Removes all footers from that column. This option is only visible in the Footer Menu after at lease one footer has been created.
