Planning Context Menu

The Planning Tab is only available in a Project Object.

 

The Planning tab provides access to the Project Gantt Chart and the main Project Management functionality. The right click context menu has the following options available:

 

Only two of the context menu options are available in the Record Specific Grid (Refresh and Print). All options are available when working with the Planning tab via the Property Card.

• Refresh

  This option refreshes all information on the Gantt Chart.

• Move Up

  This option moves the selected Stage upwards, in the list of Stages.

• Move Down

  This option moves the selected Stage downwards, in the list of Stages.

• Increase Indent

  This option indents the selected Stage, making it a Sub Stage if the previous Stage.

• Decrease Indent

  This option outdents the selected Stage, removing it from being a Sub Stage.

• Reset Baseline

  This option allows for the selected Stage or all Stages Baseline to be reset to match the actual hours assigned to the Stage.

   

  • Selected Stage(s)

    This option resets the Baseline for any selected Stages.

  • All Stages

    This option resets the Baseline for all Stages.

• Calculate Progress From Tasks

  This option allows for the percentage of Project completion to be updated based upon Tasks. When time is allocated to Tasks or Tasks are completed, that information can be used to track a Projects progress.

   

  • Selected Stage(s)

    This option Calculates Completed Work from Tasks for any selected Stages.

  • All Stages

    This option Calculates Completed Work from Tasks for all Stages.

• Update Progress

  This option allows for stage progress to be manually incremented to predefined percentages:

   

  • 0%
  • 25%
  • 50%
  • 75%
  • 100%

• Print

  • Page Setup

    This option allows the user to define the default print options (paper size, orientation, margins, etc.).

  • Print Preview

    This option provides a print preview of the output.

  • Print

    This option directly prints the output with the default settings.

• Set as milestone

  This option sets the selected Stage as a Project Milestone.
