This method of searching is available in all SOLIDWORKS Manage Web modules, from the Main ribbon bar.
1. Select the Folder you want to search in.
2. Select the required fields to use from the Search in: drop-down menu.
3. Enter one or more words to use in the Search for: field.
4. Press Enter or click the
search button.
A simple search will return all records which match the search criteria, but only display the number of records defined in the maximum filed, even if more records exist in the system.
The number of results shown per page and also number of pages is determined by the options detailed below.
This option displays all records, created by all users (providing the user has permissions to see them).
Without this option selected, the user only sees records created by themselves.
If the object where the search is being run has subfolders, then this option determines whether the search is run again only within the selected folder or includes subfolders.
Folders and subfolders may have different permissions, therefore users may see different results.
Enter the maximum number of records to display per page. The lower the number, a greater number of pages will be displayed.
