Sub-Processes
Sub-Processes are used to split process items, for example, X items can be sent to one stage while some or all the remaining items can go to another. Sub-Processes are independent processes (in the same process object), but have links to their parent process. These are easy tools to show parent/child relationships between Processes and Sub-Processes. The number of levels allowable is unlimited.
All Record Configurations and Linked Drawings will move together to the Sub-Process and cannot be separated.
Records which are sent to a Sub-Process cannot be merged back in to the Parent Process.
Creating a Sub-Process
Sub-Processes can be created on any Process Stage which has been allowed by the System Administrator.
1. Open the Process and click 
Accept Process.
2. Select all Process items from the lower grid, right click and select Move to Sub-Process.
If this option is not available in the context menu, then Sub-Processes are not allowed to be created at this stage.
The window will appear Move to Sub-Process.
This is a final Preview of the Records which will be moved to the Sub-Process. Once completed, this cannot be undone!
3. Click What do you want to copy?
This is the opportunity to select which associated items are to be copied from the Parent Process to the Sub-Process.
If the Administrator has not allowed these options to be changed, they will be grayed out during this preview and the default items for this Process will be copied.
5. The User will be prompted that this action cannot be undone. Click Yes.
6. The Sub-Process will now be created and the User can continue with this as a normal process.
